Australian designer Tala Surance released her fashion label TalaMade at Fashion Week’s Highrise Runway in August 2019. Surance utilises the brand to push the boundaries of what genderless fashion truly means. She finds that historically what genderless fashion has meant in the fashion industry has come to be seen as women emulating masculine traits or vice versa.

“Even though we see a lot of masculine approaches when discussing androgyny, I wanted my collection to branch away from that and completely blur the lines together,” says Tala Surnace. Her first collection, 100K ZONE, is completely genderless with both feminine and masculine traits, but also without relying on either aesthetic too much.
