UK department store Selfridges & Co. unveils a new genderless clothing collection. The brand released The Concept Space, masterminded by renowned fashion designer Faye Toogood. “We are increasingly aware that gender is not a simple binary, yet clothes are still marketed along those lines,” she says.

Customers can now choose articles of clothing by colour, fit and style instead of gender. This new way of shopping not only gives more freedom to customers but also to designers, who wish to explore fashion without the constraints of the gender binary.

The spaces in stores reserved for The Concept Store are designed like houses, to create a domestic atmosphere instead of a retail space.
